Cheryl Pennington is an award-winning multi-media artist who mainly paints

with paper. She has been a member of The Artists’ Gallery since 2019. Other

current memberships include Fremont Center for the Arts, The Blue Spruce Art

and Antiques, Florence Arts Council, The Pueblo Art Guild, The Pikes Peak

Watercolor Society, and Plein Air Colours. Cheryl has won awards in both

watercolor and mixed media.

Cheryl received her AA in 2014 and retired from bookkeeping in 2016. In 2017 she

started attending workshops to learn to paint. Watercolor rapidly became her

favorite medium, but she continued exploring new techniques and mediums and

has taken a variety of classes, including watercolor batik, oils, and fabric dying.

Her love of color and texture led her to mixed media where she can combine

different mediums to make her unique collages.
