Each month artists’ work is celebrated as Featured Artists for a month in a special display near the front of the Gallery. Their artistic works are featured during First Friday celebration, June 5th , at the Gallery from 4:30 to 7:30 pm.

• Michelle Lopez - Watercolor, Acrylics Michelle’s oil paintings have ranged from traditional still life and female figures to her more current work as an illustrator. When she lived in Colombia she became captivated to paint the region’s birds. Now she enjoys Colorado’s “natural world” of local mountain scenes and wildlife, such as bears. Michelle is a new member of the Gallery.

• Ken McGowan - Watercolor, Acrylics Ken, a native Coloradan and longtime art teacher, is proficient in several painting media, including watercolor, acrylic, and pastels. He strives to represent images in a refined, symbolic, surrealistic or realistic way, often with the use of borders to create unity. Ken says that he “views each painting as a challenge and an opportunity to learn and grow as an artist”. Ken teaches lessons, creates murals, and accepts commissions.

• Brandi Chavez - Unique Jewlery Brandi, new to the Gallery, designs one-of-a-kind steampunk-inspired jewelry and 2D/3D art pieces. She repurposes stones, crystals, elements, and other eye-catching embellishments. She says, “What was once admired by one becomes something new to be enjoyed by another”. Brandi specializes in custom pieces using watches that hold special memories in client-chosen unique designs.
